Well I have failed miserably at keeping up with monthly posts for Miss Ayla, but I guess that isn't all around unexpected when she is baby #5. But that does not take away from the fact that we are having a blast with this little girl. She cracks us up constantly as she is very much her own little person who makes her own set of rules and somehow we are okay with just letting her be who she is!
I'm trying to think through all she has done these last 3 months. She is an expert crawler and has been pulling up and cruising for months now. I think the most surprising thing with how early she was crawling and pulling up is that she is not walking and really isn't showing any interest in walking. We are perfectly content to let the walking come slowly though!
She is super interactive and loves all the attention she gets lavished with being the baby of the family. She loves to entertain us all. From the shy smile and head tilt, to clapping for herself when she stands on her own, to waving and hollering at us, she does not lack for attention.
She is still a great eater and loves all sorts of foods. Some favorites are blueberries, oranges, pears, crackers and cheese, raisins. She's not too picky but Groot does get his fair share of her not so favorite foods. I am thrilled that we have passed 10 months of breastfeeding. We do supplement a bottle at night and our freezer stash is just about depleted but I am amazed and thankful that we have made it this far on this journey! She seems to be following Sabrina's patterns of growth and is weighing in right around 18 lbs at 10 months old. Which puts her somewhere around the 35%. In other big news, she has her first two teeth already. I say "already" because our other two bio kids didn't get teeth until after their first birthday.
We have really enjoyed the last 10 months with this baby girl. We've gone on two vacations with her now. One local and one on her first airplane ride! So we are having lots of fun firsts with this little love! She is so independent and hilarious and fun and is such a joy to watch grow!
