Summer is always a fun time as we try to enjoy the warm weather as much as we can. It was a little bit warmer than I like this year (record breaking) and I was also quite pregnant! But we still made some fun memories!
We grew butterflies, the kids LOVED this!
Lots and lots of basketball and bike fun
And pound after pound of fresh berry eating!
The temps hit 116 and we found any way to cool off that we could! I think it was past 8 at night when we would uncoop the kids from the house and finally let them outside for a bit of pool cool off time. We couldn't even put into words how hot it felt even at that time of day!
So soooo many trips to the hardware store. Ayla is definitely her Daddy's buddy and loves running errands with him! They're a pretty cute duo.

In July we started school again and pushed as hard as we could through the year before Baby Boo's arrival!
After the bathroom was complete we gave our bedroom a nice remodel!
And enjoyed as much time as we could outside
We even made a couple trips out to a local state park which the kids LOVE doing!
We've had a nice stretch here of sunny and relatively warm weather days and while we have been enjoying the time we can spend outside during the dead of winter, we are looking forward to that turn towards spring/summer so we can enjoy more of those outdoor activities we love!
